Eek! Thieves! is based on a part of the mobile game Evony: The King's Return, a multiplayer strategy game that many people come to play initially for puzzles & stick around for the magnificent translator & smooth game play, as well as turtles (mild sarcasm warning). Upon completing a variety of daily activities, the game generates thieves that you must seek help from your alliance mates to eliminate. Many indicate that their thieves have popped by posting "RT" or "thieves" in alliance chat. I like to be a little more verbose & unique when announcing the appearance of thieves. Initially, I would come up with something on the fly and it would fade into the ether as the thieves were dealt with. It has since become a bit of a project I thought would be fun to preserve for posterity, after a few requests from an alliance member that I should post to the alliance Discord channel. With all the noise on social media and Discord, this is the solution I came up with. I will try to correct typos from the mobile keyboard to here (unless there is greater entertainment value in preserving typos as originally written).
